Qantas & Jetstar CEO Geoff Dixon won't deny price fixing on passenger fares

Geoff Dixon asked the question

Geoff Dixon has been asked to deny that Qantas are involved with price fixing with passenger fares.

As usual there has been no denial. Is this news going to have to filter out through the courts?

Why can't Qantas operate within the law like other Australians?

QANTAS fined $60 million. Not a good example from the flag carrier

INTEGRITY
Integrity is the greatest asset a Company or an individual can possess. In all our dealings, inside and outside the Company, integrity should be taken first and the spirit of an agreement taken before the letter....Always keep out of Court whenever this is possible with honour and fair dealing. Companies or people having frequent Court actions are usually not of the best repute, and it is bad publicity anyhow.

from Ethics and Other Things: A Souvenir of Qantas Service, by Qantas Chairman Hudson Fysh, May 1955

Qantas directors TAKE NOTE. Could you look him in the eyes and not feel guilty for your irresponsible behaviour?
Qantas were fined $60 million for price fixing. A lot more than the $47 million they had set aside. Qantas Chief Executive Geoff Dixon apologized for the illegal conduct, which he said involved fuel surcharges in the airline's freight division.Full report He shouldn't have to apologize, just do his bloody job properly. Makes you wonder how much he covered up in the Schapelle Corby fiasco.

At the recent Qantas A.G.M the directors made light of the charge, but it just shows that Qantas act illegally when it suits them. Surely the directors and not the shareholders should be held responsible.

I will keep on with my fight against Qantas for their illegal action against me.

It is sad that Bernie Banton passed away but what a fighter he was against large corporations. He gives me inspiration to carry on my fight.

Beware Qantas directors Leigh Clifford, Peter Gregg, Paul Anderson, Mike Codd, AC,General Peter Cosgrove, AC, MC, Patricia Cross, Garry Hounsell , Dr John Schubert, James Strong, AO,and secretary Cassandra Hamlin, with the Internet you will eventually have to face your illegal actions.

Note C.E.O Geoff Dixon is not mentioned as he doesn't have the guts to talk to me

Qantas and Jetstar. I FEEL GOOD

I was asked by A.S.I.C to send in my report on the failings of the Chairman, MAJ. Thanks to the wizardry of the Internet, it is all completed and with luck they will be put in place the way Hardies were.

It is a changing world for when I first tried to get answers from Qantas nothing was forthcoming. Now when you search on Google for such things as '747 pilot' 'email jetstar' 'melissa thompson' 'wes nobelius qantas' 'santa story' 'why does santa wear red' I am NUMBER ONE out of millions of sites.

Eventually the world will be made aware that Qantas illegally, yes very illegally, cleared a suicidal 747 pilot to fly you. There is enough drama going through security now but what chance do you have if Qantas clears a suicidal pilot?

What a load of bull shit Mr. Borghetti, Qantas and Jetstar executive

Tiger launch marred by spat with Qantas
Qantas executive general manager John Borghetti laid the blame with Tiger.

"It is normal practice for any business to have all its arrangements in place before it starts operations," he said.

What a load of bull shit Mr. Borghetti.

Do you remember when you started Jetstar and were going to be sued by the owners of the web name Jetstar.com
THE take-off of Qantas’ low-cost airline Jetstar has run into problems, with US-based virtual airline JetStar International Airlines launching legal action over claims of trademark and copyright infringement of its logo and livery.
As a matter of interest why do I own the domain name qantasjetstar.com and not your registered business name Qantas Jetstar? Did someone not read your "It is normal practice for any business to have all its arrangements in place before it starts operations,"

Qantas to be investigated by A.S.I.C. & Jetstar by Consumer Affairs

Following the Qantas AGM, Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) has asked me to forward details of my complaint so they can investigate mine and others of the failure of correct procedure's followed by the ex chairman Margaret Jackson.
A question was put to the Qantas secretary Cassandra Hamlin through the Qantas share registry, to be read out at the AGM as per the 'Notice of Meeting'. The question was sent to each board member as well to make sure that everyone was aware of it and an appropriate reply could be forthcoming.

The question was not about 'Money, Money, Money' but about the illegal operations of Qantas. These had in turn put thousands of passengers and crews lives at risk by clearing a Suicidal 747 Pilot to keep flying. Yes, it was extremely irresponsible and Qantas seems to want to keep it 'Their Secret'.

Jetstar to offer 5 cent fares (What is the catch?) What about Qantas fares?

Jetstar to offer 5 cent fares. Hmm, at that rate who is going to fly them, certainly not real pilots or cabin crew. Pay peanuts and you get monkeys.

To Qantas directors Leigh Clifford, Peter Gregg, Paul Anderson, Mike Codd, Peter Cosgrove, Patricia Cross, Garry Hounsell, John Schubert, Ms Jackson

I sent the letter below to the following directors of Qantas prior to the AGM on the 14th November 2007, Margaret Jackson, Leigh Clifford, Peter Gregg, Paul Anderson, Mike Codd, AC,General Peter Cosgrove, AC, MC, Patricia Cross, Garry Hounsell , Dr John Schubert, James Strong, AO,and secretary Cassandra Hamlin, but none of them will reply.
To me that means they are too ashamed to admit the illegal actions of Qantas.

Dear I would like to put the following to the board at the AGM in Melbourne on 14th November 2007. It refers to the Qantas document titled ‘Qantas Code Of Conduct and Ethics.’ Why have these if they are going to be broken?

2.1 Deals with ‘Compliance with Laws and Ethical Standards.’

FirstlyWill the Qantas Directors take the responsibility for the Illegal, Immoral and Irresponsible actions of Qantas to retired 747 pilot Bryan Griffin.
In his report, Dr. Johnathan Phillips, a leading Australian psychiatrist, said…
“On my evaluation Mr. Griffin experienced a worsening of his symptoms generally as a consequence of QANTAS expecting him to continue flying and failing to organise appropriate medical retirement.”
This damming report is in reference to Qantas Dr. Thompson clearing Mr. Griffin to carry on flying 747’s illegally, according to the Air Navigation Orders, following the reports of two psychiatrists. His compulsion was to Shut Down All Engines of a 747 inappropriately.
These reports were withheld from CASA with the result Qantas put thousands of passenger’s lives at risk. Mr. Griffin’s compulsion worsened into wanting to shut down all engines on Take Off.

All directors have been made aware of the Failure of Duty of Care to Mr. Griffin but none will reply or address this illegal and unethical treatment of a 747 pilot.

Because Qantas passed this pilot’s medical, he was precluded from collecting his ‘Loss of Licence Insurance.’

If you Search Google for ‘747 pilot,’ Mr. Griffin’s web site is number one on the list.

Secondly.. Will the Qantas Directors take the responsibility for the court case pending against Qantas where $47 million has been set aside for the fine. Whose $47 million is this? The shareholders or the directors? Wouldn’t it be prudent for Qantas to hire a more professional legal team? The fine would certainly pay for them.

Where are the Qantas Ethics when one of the company’s key workers is “forced to fly with suicidal thoughts” to save them money, yet $47 million can be squandered because they were ‘Caught Out’ for illegal operations.

Bryan Griffin

Terrorist Attack on Qantas from within. Will it happen to Jetstar?

With all the hype of possible terrorist attacks on Qantas and Jetstar, why did Qantas fail to act responsibly on the self imposed attack planned by one of their own pilots, instead of condoning his actions?
Qantas broke the law by clearing a suicidal 747 pilot to fly, yet they will not admit to it.

Qantas solicitor Wes Nobelius and Qantas secretary Cassandra Hamlin will not reply to letters and emails sent to them. One must assume that Qantas is guilty and they are trying to cover up the illegal actions of Qantas.

Qantas & Jetstar shareholders hoodwinked at AGM

Questions to the Chairman of the Qantas Board about a serious illegal action of the Qantas medical doctor were not read out to the shareholders at the anual AGM today. All the correct procedures in submitting the questions were followed, but in trying to save her own skin, the retiring Chairman Margaret Jackson, on advice from the company secretary Casandra Hamlin conveniently forgot to bring them up.
Why have a form for asking questions if they are going to be ignored? Seems to be standard procedure for Qantas.

Santa Claus is devastated by report that a Jetstar cargo aircraft has disappeared.

Newsflash. Rumours are that a Jetstar cargo 747 full of Santa's toys has disappeared
A cargo 747 crammed full of toys left the North Pole to be delivered to one of Santa's storage centres but it never arrived. Air traffic control is still searching the flight path to see if it has landed at a secret location know only to the board members.
Thoughts are that the directors hijacked it. (unconfirmed)

Check with Qantas for more information. Email Qantas
If they deny it, you will have to make you own decision as to the truth. Previous posts suggest that replies are hard to get.

Will Qantas shareholders follow suit? Telstra shareholders revolt over executive bonuses.

Is the same going to apply to Qantas and Jetstar?
Proxies cast on Telstra's controversial Remuneration package for executives including CEO Sol Trujillo - who earned $11.8 million last financial year - are heavily opposed to the deals. Read full report

At the Qantas AGM next week some of the directors are trying for a great bonus. Should that be deferred in lieu of the $47 million they have set aside for possible court fines?
Break the law, get fined and then ask for a substantial bonus.

What would SIR HUDSON FYSH think of this behaviour by the directors of his beloved airline?

Before returning to Australia Fysh qualified as a pilot. Seeing the potential in aviation, with his partners, and using mainly war disposals aircraft, he formed the Queensland and Northern Territory Aerial Services Ltd in 1920. He remained a regular company pilot for a decade. The company expanded and, in 1930, moved its headquarters to Brisbane. It soon gained valuable mail contracts and extended its service overseas.

Why don't the Qantas directors get their house in order first.Read a report on Qantas failure of duty of care

Oh Qantas, Qantas, Qantas. Please reply to me.

Ex suicidal Qantas 747 pilot Bryan Griffin is running out of ways to try and get the (unethical?) Qantas solicitor Wes Nobelius or the Qantas secretary, Cassandra Hamlin, to reply to an email about the content of his book 'Qantas Jet Star.' In desperation he put the letter on his web site www.qantasjetstar.com on the 18th April 2004 but after dozens of unanswered requests he has now requested that his emails are dealt with at the Qantas A.G.M on the 14th November.
With all the reports on mishaps by Qantas and Jetstar there seems to be a standard reply. Nothing.
Read the psychiatrist Dr. Jonathn Phillips' report on the failure of 'Duty of Care' by Qantas. Read how Qantas put passengers lives at risk

Email Qantas and ask them their reasons for not replying.Email Qantas

Jetstar and Qantas

Is Jetstar learning the art of cover-ups from parent Qantas.
Qantas has put aside $47 million for fines. Should the directors pay it rather than the shareholders?

Qantas covered up medical reports that should have had 747 pilot grounded, and illegally cleared him to fly with a compulsion to shut down all engines on take-off. Have a look at http://www.qantaspilot.com/ and http://www.qantasjetstar.com/
Would you put a U in QANTAS?

Jetstar denies covering up a serious incident.
It seems that Jetstar is a law unto themselves

Jetstar lets down several couples.

Seven news showed several upset passengers (never to fly Jetstar again)after they were left stranded at Brisbane. Not so bad I hear you say. After weeks of planing and anticipation Jetstar took away their chance to join the Melbourne Cup cruise from Sydney. What a let down. No wonder Choice magazine call Qantas and Jetstar the worst airlines.
