Qantas claim of extortion backfired on them but they won't admit it.

Bryan Griffin is still waiting for an apology from Qantas for falsely accusing him of extortion, as well as the turmoil this accusation caused him.
Melissa Thomson, a Qantas PR rep went overboard in a fantasy interpretation of the request made by Bryan in a phone conversation.
Ex Qantas 747 pilot Bryan Griffin was visited by Sergeant Llowarch from the Windsor police who said he was investigating (Event 78977736) on behalf of Detective Gentle from Botany Bay police. The investigation was of a possible extortion attempt on Qantas (initiated by Laurie Ratz, of Qantas security). Sergeant Llowarch led him to believe he would be prosecuted if he told the media of the email sent to Qantas PR Melissa Thomson. (Later he was told by the police that it was NOT a police matter) In fear of prosecution Bryan rang the Department of Transport (C A S A) and they sent him his complete medical file.
